The Business Incubator "Build It Up"
Sheba Youth Foundation started the business incubator “Build It Up” project in September 2020 as the first business incubator in Taiz Governorate that aims to enhance the capabilities of budding entrepreneurs, develop their skills in the field of entrepreneurship, as well as raise the level of awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship in the governorate.
How does the incubator work?
A group of young enterpreneurs are incubated to develop their entrepreneurial ideas and start-up projects and qualify them for a certain period and network with similar projects at the local or international level to benefit from the various experiences, in addition to providing office spaces for these projects at the incubator headquarters. The business incubator “Build It Up” is one of the projects of Sheba Youth Foundation for Development.
The Training Program in the Business Incubator "Build It Up"
The business incubator “Build It Up” provided a qualitative training program in entrepreneurship for young entrepreneurs in the incubator. The training brought together a group of consultants and experts specialized in entrepreneurship at the local and international levels, as follows:
Workshops and Seminars in Entrepreneurship
The business incubator “Build It Up” hosted the consultant Maher Othman, an expert in the field of strategic planning, where he met with a group of young entrepreneurs in Taiz Governorate and talked with them about the prospects for strategic thinking, upgrading their start-up projects and creating added values in entrepreneurship.
The business incubator “Build it up” hosted Professor Abdurraqib Al-Samawi, an expert in the total quality management and strategic planning, where he presented a five-day training program in strategic planning with entrepreneurs in Taiz Governorate.
The incubator held a training workshop for entrepreneurs in the field of digital media with the media officer of Sheba Youth Foundation, Muhammad Al-Herwi. The workshop dealt with topics in digital security, digital identity and how to promote entrepreneurial projects
Global Entrepreneurship Week - Taiz, 2020
The business incubator “Build It Up” held with its partners (Ruwad Foundation, Tamdeen Youth Foundation, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Businesswomen, Taiz) the largest event of its kind in the field of entrepreneurship in Taiz Governorate. The event aimed to highlight pioneer projects with creative ideas and encourage young people with innovative ideas and pioneering projects to present them. The event also aimed to spread the culture of entrepreneurship in Taiz Governorate, where the political scene is dominant, so this event created a new trend towards entrepreneurship and spread its culture.
A number of budding entrepreneurs were hosted and their entrepreneurial project ideas were presented on the speakers conference platform. The projects varied between social, environmental, economic and commercial entrepreneurship, in addition to holding an exhibition containing a number of pioneering projects. Also, seminars were held at the headquarters of the partner and implementing institutions of the project, in which a number of topics related to entrepreneurship were discussed.
